Overview
This course will teach delegates to quickly troubleshoot problems with Cisco router and catalyst switch internetworks. Delegates will learn to remedy communication problems in TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, AppleTalk and Wide Area Networks and utilise troubleshooting tools live on the classroom network.
Prerequisites
Delegates should have an understanding of Advanced Cisco Router Configuration and Catalyst LAN Switch Configuration.
Delegates will learn how to
- Understand Ethernet, fast Ethernet, and token ring troubleshooting
- Use specific Cisco commands: show, write, debug, ping, and trace
- Troubleshoot IP, IPX, AppleTalk, HDLC, ISDN, BRI, and X.25 traffic troubleshooting
- Understand LAN/WAN problem isolation
- Use protocol analysers
